News Posts aren't counted?

When users posts, even me as the admin, when i post news it doesnt count as a post, what i mean is, say for example i have 10 posts, and i post a news article, after its saved and everything, i still have 10 posts. and from what i can remember it was counting them, but just stopped. any help on this? thanks in advance.

As far as I know you don't get a post for posting news. You only get posts for forums, comments and some photo albums (On my version anyway).

Hmm, maybe im mistaken, thinking my posts, USED to be counted..i still like to know though , lol
