Unable to connect to database

Received this error ater install:

Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file class/database/databasefactory.php line 34

Seemed to be working fine until I ftp a new module into the module DIR.

Any Ideas?

What module was it? Some modules also include updates/modifications for files in XOOPS core. I tend to steer clear of implemnting these until I have throughly beta tested it myself.

never mind. It apears to have been the ftp program included with Dreamweaver site manager.
