I would like to post an image in my forum which is a link. I tried something linke this:

(Bracket)url=http://skatetop.com/index.php?do=v&i=112(Bracket) (Bracket)img(Bracket) http://skatetop.com/index.php?do=in&id=112 (Bracket)/img(Bracket)(Bracket)/url(Bracket)

Where (Bracket) is [ or ]

But that does not seem to work as you can see. How can I fix this???

Resized Image

The above link looks something like this:

'left ['
img align=left]http://yoursitename.com/Images/books.jpg[/img]

Omit the 'left [' and replace with [ only. I had to do that above in order for the command to appear, otherwise all you see is two images.

Maybe I should have decribed my problem better. What I actually want is to show an image and when you click on that image you'll be linked to another site. Suggestions???

To do that, you will need to write your message in html, enable html in the forum posting area, and post your html.

Thats exactly my problem. I don't want to allow HTML in my forum. It makes it possible to abuse it, and ruin my sites looks by adding an uncomplete table or something.
Is there no other way of doing this?

You could build the link into your uploaded image I suppose if you used something like svg as your image format.

I have never tried that though...

You can do this (remove spaces):

url=URL ][ img ]IMAGEURL[ /img ][ /url ]

The problem in your case is due to the special characters in the URL. That's described here: https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=19005&forum=27
