In my mainfile.php my websites address is http://www.nixpert.com and everything works fine as long as I use that address. If I try and access my site without the www. I get a module does not exist error.

I'm guessing this was not intended, I also can't imagine that I am the first person to notice. So, how can I fix it?

There is no fix. You have to specify one way or the other.

I think it has to do how XOOPS authenticate the modules.

I have the same situation as you have just described.
However, my site works like it is supposed to. I just have a standard mainfile.php. Maybe your domain name is not proprogated to the domain name servers yet. I did try your address from the your other post and I was able to find it by name without using the number.

Thats fine for me, but how do I convince all my users to do the same? I just don't want them getting an error and thinking that my site is down or screwed up.

Will you be able to go directly both
http://www.yoursite.com/modules/news/
yoursite.com/modules/news/

Without getting a blank screen from one of the two depending on how the mainfile has been specified?

Strange results??
The answer is yes / maybe?
It seems to work that way with firefox but not mozilla??

I think it has to do with the last /

It works O.K. without the slash???

I am using FireFox and I would get blank screen if I were to access site without www prefix if mainfile specifies www

Please let me know if you could access XOOPS site this way.

https://xoops.org/modules/news/

I would get a blank screen using FireFox, Mozilla, IE.
