To decrease some of the database queries when the pages loaded, I decided to kill the login block. Obviously, that would make it hard to log in. My plan was to add a block in the theme that would go away when the user logged in by using the <if> and <else> tags. This worked to some degree without the Autologin and Annonymous options. However, when I realized I forgot to copy those over into the block, I went ahead and added them in as well. That's when the site decided to hate me and keep me logged in, even when I logged out. I used the Remember Me option when I logged in, but when I logged out again, it should have let me log out. It didn't. Apparently it didn't want to let go and is maddly in love with me or something. In fact, I had to delete my cookies AND close/relaunch the browser. Damn obsessed login systems. So, I said screw it, and used the normal block. It was either that or get a restraining order.
So. That was intresting. Thought I'd share that.
