First my configuration:
Windows 2003 Server ent. ed. with IIS and exchange server.
Xoops 206

No matter what I do or try I cant get it to send the registration mail for new users.
I tried using smtp, and I checked that I could telnet to myserver.dk 25, that worked fine.
I´ve set up a user with amin rights and tried to use smtpauth, that didn´t work either. I´ve tried to use phpmail, and set it up in php.ini, didn´t work either.
I still havent tried to use a sendmail for windows, I wonder if that´ll work.
Any other suggestions?
Regards
JCC

Maybe this can help:

Mail delivery method: SMTP
SMTP host(s): out.your.host.com ( ask provider )
SMTPAuth username: user
SMTPAuth password: password

This should work fine.

I use W2K3 Ent Server with Excahnge 2003 no worries. What are your relay settings set to?

Well, I'm still using exchange 2000 server SP3. In IIS you have to set up relay to "only the list below" in SMTP virtual server, which means you have to aprove just your mail server to relay. In delivery tab you have to go to advanced and set up domain name, which is your mail server.

I hope this is what you've asked for.

Spot on to what I have. Is XOOPS installed on the same machine as you have Exchange on?

I assume you've setup your recipient policies and the like for exchange?

No recipient policies except the default one system has created after installing the exchange. It was just simple relay config in exchange system admin. You can use any of user accounts with admin privileges you have at your server.

That's it.
