I am using the phpbb integration module for my XOOPS site because newbb just doesn't cut it for a busy community using a forum. People think its just not as userfriendly and just doesn't have the options like the bigdogs... phpbb and ipb.

Why not just use either one of these forums as the XOOPS forum? I know I am not considering license problems but I noticed that there are CMS's that use phpbb as the forum of choice by default right?

Yea I heard they took phpbb 1.4 or something like that and used it. I also read in another post that they were just going to keep that and add to it, but I really think that phpbb 2.0.6 would go well with XOOPS 2.0.7 release.
