I have been using XOOPS since 1.x.x version. I've always had memory cpu + myql problems. I had to delete the newBB module replacing it by a phpBB separate installation because my hosting provider said it newBB table was causing a hog memory with MySQL affecting virtual server performance. My site has around 1,000 visitors not quite intensive as this site, and my vps has 1,2 GB mb with around 40 open proccess limit. But recently my provider has just warned me about cancelling the MySQL access if I don't cut down the XOOPS tables (around 4 MBs of space). However I'm daily repairing and optimizing the tables with phpMyAdmin. Any recommendation?
