Looking for recommendations about a different forum module. This one doesn't let me hide a particular gathering from the world.

I'm looking for a forum that will allow me to hide some discussions from everyone except certain groups of registered users, as well as have an "open" area where everyone can discuss.

For example, I'd like discussions that only members of the "scholastic" user group can see, and other discussions that only tournament directors can see, etc.

The way this forum seems to work is that it doesn't allow non-members of the group in, but it still lets them see the discussion exists.

It's kind of odd, considering the forum module is based off PHPBB, and I do this in PHPBB on another site I have.
