On my home page which is the news module I have a top block much like the one on this site. What I want to do is display it only on the fist page of the news module and not on the next pages of the news. It gets boring, consumes bandwidth needlessly and makes page loading too slow.

It works like is does on this site.

Any ideas on how to change it.

Right on. You are right about the issues.

I must be doing something wrong because I can't get it to work for me either.
