I'm happily creating menu items by adding html to 'system_block_mainmenu.html' in sysadmin>templates. I want to create a sub menu that only appears when the parent menu item is selected. Menu items added with '<a class="menuSub" href="http://www......' are indented like a submenu item but are always present.

any ideas? post to differnt forum?

I'd like to know the answer to this question myself. I would love to be able to create a custom main menu with sublinks just as you've described.

I guess the 'proper' way to do this is to create a custom module. Can anyone recommend a basic module / module template to look at?
