Re: ModuleInstaller 1.0 Beta: ready for testing

As part of my installer revamp I was looking to make a major change to the module system. I want to make a module system that had more things in it than the normal one we have now. It seems to make more sense to revamp it in a module like this so it can be used with older versions as well.

I want to add things like RSS fed updates for modules to check versions and availabilities.

Add dependencies and probably a couple other things..

Since it is similar in function to the installer it makes sense to me to develop it together. It can be included in 2.6 once I have completed it.

And the methods can be included in a couple other programs I am working on to make installation for a new user much nicer.

Once I have time and I can bring the new Installer Script I am working on to a beta version I will begin looking at this.

I will look at also updating wf-downloads with a versioning system and an rss feed that will be compatible.
