I just installed the updated version by Trabis and can confirm it works just fine with globals 'off'.

I posted a question some time ago in this thread about installing a 'lite' version of the original module, i.e. without the 4 MB 'ip-to-country' file.

I've achieved the same effect in this version by editing the SQL file and removing the 'insert into' statement (leaving the 'create table' statement intact). By doing so, the block just displays a partial IP address, without the little flags.

If the module is more DB efficient anyway, you probably don't need to do this and can ignore me completely!.

Sorry guys, I was not aware that an version using database already existed (2.0e). I made my work upon 2.0b that used files. I´ll see if is there anything missing in this membership version. Thanks.

New version 2.2 is ready for release.
I would like you to test this before I submit it to the repository.
It has a new and quite impressive importer page based on bigdump so you can easilly have your IP-TO-COUNTRY list updated! I followed McDonalds sugestion on this, I uploaded also new flags.

What is Membership Module ?

Membership 2.3 is a module based in Xm-Memberstats 2.0b (NOT 2.0e!!!), 90% of the code was rewrited:

The module can :
. Display a list of members than can be browsed by letter and sorted in many other ways

How to install Membership
====================

Copy membership folder into the /modules directory of your website. Then log in
to your site as administrator, go to System Admin > Modules, look for the Membership
icon in the list of uninstalled modules and click in the install icon. Follow
the directions in the screen and you'll be ready to go.

If you plan to use online block with online list, then you must import the ip-to-country list.
Please access membership administration and run the importer.
If you are runing PROTECTOR module than you must DISABLE IT first or change settings.
If you fail to do so, the script will be detected and stoped by protector as a Dos Attack.

Requirements
====================
Tested on php5 and XOOPS 2.0.x
Should work fine in php4 and in 2.2.x
