Thanks for all the replies but a disaster occurred recently that caused me to have to re-install not only XOOPS and the corresponding modules I was using but also the database from scratch. So, all the past information will have to be added, AGAIN, I now have XOOPS installed after "htdocs" so now it's www.mysite/htdocs/index.php. I will use the re-directs so I don't loose search engine and bookmark functionality. The problem occurred when trying to get the poll module to work. Removal and re-installation of that module broke the smartsection module beyond my ability to repair it. Now everything functions as it should. Thanks for everybody's suggestion. This is why I chose XOOPS over other CMS's. Support!
