Right - this looks like a case of clearing out template_c (the old files may still be stored) and removing and regenerating the templates to ensure the new ones come up.

The new version of newbb uses different templates, which mean the old ones will have to be replaced (you would also have to do this with cbb).

You'll also need to set the read permissions on the forums as well...

Clearing the template_c I can do, I am not sure how to do this removing and regenerating the templates. Could you epand on that ? I just uploaded CBB 2.3 and geting ready to update.

Edit. I updated to CBB and now I am getting

you need to go into your ftp client navigate to public_html/templates_c select all and delete. then click refresh.

To set permissions. you would go into your admin panel and go to your groups section. In groups be sure that the groups you wish to be able to use the forums have MODULE ACCESS not admin. at the bottom hit submit. Note this is also the area you would set which blocks and other modules each user group can use. savvy?

I did the delete all and now there are no option in my main menu bar?

ok you never told us which version of XOOPS you were using, but since you said you were using cbb 2.3 i am assuming that you are pushing 2.2. now about your new issues, it seems that you are having trouble navigating the groups pages, and in general this can be friustrating. Dont ya just wish that you could set the permissions for all the user groups for each module all at once? me too... oh wait you can try blocks admin. This module allows you to set the permission for every groups module access all at once. you just install it, hover over the logo and pick the module you want to administrate. all the module blocks are there as well as the module access and admin rights.

Thanks for the tip on rights!

I am running the latest version of xoops, and I am having two issues with it.

First: When you go to the site and login it says its redirecting you but it never does, you have to click the click here to manual redirect.

Second: When I cleared the template_c directory and refreshed all the menus under the Main Menu list dissappeared, can you tell me how to get those back?
