I don't agree with martyboy, the prob is not as the dbase files .. any way ..
f u beleive it's a data-base prob why not trying to access your data-base through the terminal or the SSH .. or you can use mysql-control-center it's available at MySQL web site for free

plz give more details about your linux browser (mozilla, firefox, ....) ?

what i said is accoring to the prob I faced .. and how i suucess to solve it ...
