i can't import the phpbb database into the XOOPS one. can anyone help?

sure.
first, you have to export the phpbb MySQL database with the MySQL client or with tools like phpmyadmin.
then, if i remember well (i formatted my hdd two months ago), you have to execute the sql code contained in the program i posted (see above). only then, you can import your old phpbb db into the new XOOPS db.

there are some differences between the two forums, for example phpbb saves the [code] tag like [code:xxxxxxx] with xxxxxx a number of which i don't remember the function. you'll need to manually edit all those crappy things.

sorry, it's wrong.
i've just reviewed that script.

you have to keep the new XOOPS tables with the old phpbb tables (i mean, in the same database). just execute the script and you're ok.

if you got any problems, just ask.
