How to change News comment appearance

I'm just a newbie for XOOPS 2.2 and certainly, I got many difficulities with using XOOPS althought I realized that XOOPS is the easiest open source system that I've ever tried. My question is that how to change the appearance of comments in News module like this one

The comments appearence of my site is always flat (dunno how to explain about it lol). I just want to change it in to the way it's looked above (forum alike). Thanks u for any helps.
PS: I'm so happy that xoops.org has returned. I own much in your works guys.

Fist, Welcome to XOOPS!

If you're referring to displaying comments in flat, nested, or threaded view formats by default, this is handled in Preferences Main »» General Settings »» Default Comment Display Mode.

If you want the comments on your site to look like the ones on this site, select "Flat".

Thanks James but unfortunately, it doesn't work. I'm using XOOPS 2.2 and an Aston Filthy theme. I've tried to set the comments view in both News article and Preferences/General settings but it's still not ok. You have another ideal for my problem

It's also a per account preference.

When logged in, go to Edit Account for your account, and set "Comments Display Mode" to "Flat".

Thanks JMorris but I can't see any settings for comment view types in my Edit Account session, would you please recheck it for me?
