Hi, I also had problem installingg the latest xoops version. after intallation success i still got those error message. Really hope anyone can help me to solve this:

I installed in Win &, using easyPHP package 5.3.8.1 version.

just turn E_STRICT in your php.ini file off, and you should be OK.
If you don't know how, just google for it...
