I have a better solution, I think. New version out in the beginning of next week.

survey name should be a 50 char text field and the database field should be a 255 varchar. Description should be a text area and a text database field. If you have continously upgraded previous versions, this might not have been updated.
Next version will have 255 chars to use in the survey name.

page break/multiple pages feature sure sounds nice. However, so far it is not a requirement for us and therefore I am not allocated time for it... sorry.
