Thanks I got it installed now. I deleted everything and then installed a new 2.5.6 that way. The install went good but when I try to log in I get


The website cannot display the page

HTTP 500


Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.


What you can try:



Refresh the page.



Go back to the previous page.

If you have access to FTP, can you try to install a fresh installation of XOOPS directly, i.e. by copying the XOOPS files and not using the "auto-installer" from your host company?

You host had as a default PHP 5.2.

After changing the default to PHP 5.4 everything works now.
