to XOOPS or SMF?
if SMF then anything posible, sence this style of bridge dosent affect SMF in the source, only in the sql DB
and its installed like a module, it just needs to know where the outside SMF is.
now there is simplexoops. its basicly a modified 2.2.5 xoops
with a few other mods in it.
IPB or better know as X-IPB is still around for xoops
i use it in calibernation as a news board.
and Calibernation is 2.0.16
but the X-ipb has the same problem as X-phpbb had, the source coad has been altered to work with xoops.
so the codes you need for the garage mod, are MIA
