The Core Developers are not paid employees. The Core Developers are volunteers, just like the Project Managers, Moderators, and every other person that contributes to XOOPS. The Core Developers are working as fast as they can to get the 2.2.x branch stable. Asking them to stop to release a patch will only prolong the time it takes to have a full, stable release of XOOPS 2.2.x out.
Insanity can be defined as "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."
Stupidity is not a crime. Therefore, you are free to go.
