It's definately better than nothing, might be worth having a read of this if you ever have spare time. Steve Gibson is one of the best, and calls a spade a spade. He has done security work all around the place, including the FBI's cybercrimes division, so he REALLY knows his stuff. Well worth a read at any rate.

To be honest gibson is a tool imo.

He has screamed the 'sky is falling down' so many times that he has, in my and many others eyes, lost all credibility.

He claimed the red alert worm was going to cripple the net, didnt happen. Then claimed the nimba worm would do the same, didnt happen. Then he calim one of the buffer overflow exploits in w2k would take down every w2k web server in a matter of days.. that didnt happen either.

I wish I had a dollar every time he cried wolf, I could retire

His sheild up app is nice and I give him credit for that, but any 'opinions' out of his mouth should be taken with a large grain of salt.
