I ran into similar errors on a recent fresh install. Setting the start page to anything but "none" returned an error. I'm not sure what the problem was. I re-installed the system a second time, and it started working fine, so I'm not quite sure what could be causing that error.

Content for a module will not show under blocks, so they cannot be forced to the "main window" that way. Content for iContent will only show under the iContent module whether selected directly or as the start page.

I'll have to think on this one some more. Anyone else?
