just installed (upgraded from 2.0.7 to 2.0.10 , reinstalled newbb2 w/o reinstalling main.php and upgrade newbb1-newbb2.

When i input my profile and try to submit one my avatars it does not register or save. I can see them they are there, just doesnt save it to my profile.

permissions set to 777 on newbb has no effect

All I can think of in this is go to System Admin - Preferences - User Info Settings, and see if any of your settings for avitars has changed. That includes upload setting as well as sizes.

pix goto imagemanager ok....settings appear to be ok....i have no idea, nothing out of the ordinary. maybe uploads folder needs to have permissions on it to huh ?

Uploads should be 777, but should have been set at XOOPS install. Check it though.

Ya know whats weird ? On the front page where site info is, my username & the little email sign is there and there is a pick but you cant see it...its called blank.gif ? must have been a string that got left behind maybe ?

Try this, for site info:

Go to System Admin - Blocks, find the Site Info block, click on edit all the way to the right, in those options is one to show avitar, make sure it is set to yes and save your changes.

See if the avitar shows in Site Info.

if you goto blocks>admin>site info> and look at the template it has some coding in there for user avatatar. but before that template on the main block is a pop up window setting (in blocks admin for site info)???? what is that about, in the site info area ? i only get popup on email icon next to where the avatar is supposed to be. still cant see avatar though. just that blank.gif and i only see that by right click and properties (highlighted)

No don't look at the template. There is a radio button just above the "View Template" link titled "Show Avitar" make sure that is set to Yes.

under the member block i have a button that says"show member avatar" that is checked, but under "site info" block i have a box that says "pop-up window size" with a table for height and width...no radio button like the one under "members".

I am looking in the system admin blocks. right, not forum or other.i only have the forum and polls modules installed so far anyway, since i had to re-install the whole program AGAIN....

EDIT: avatar manager looks good, blocks look ok....im completely lost

Ok. Avatars upload to image manager ok. somewhere between im and site info im loosing them. can insert avatar in signiture in profile but it doesn't appear in site info box next to name still. I know im missing something, does ANYONE know or have an idea. evrything that i can think of ive exausted.

If its able to go to IM why not Site Info ? site info i have the "Ghost" image when i jighlight it of blank.gif ?
