Hi All,

Just looking to improve performance of my site by keeping it as lean as possible and noticed xoops.js is now one of the beefier items downloaded when accessing my site at just under 12k. Can anyone tell me what it does?

XOOPS code and textarea tricks, some other arcane stuff

Once I got it down to 8-9KB using one of those online javascript compressing tools.

Are you gziped?

Basically, it holds JavaScript helper functions for e.g. popup windows (PM's, image manager etc.) and xoopsCode

Some may not be needed on all pages, but most can show to be useful or are used by e.g the image manager.

Cool, thanks for the explaination guys . I'm using the compression that is built into IIS 6, so hopefully I am making a bit of a saving there.
