Hi,

I am new to Xoops, my client hosts a website (http://www.domain.com) and wants to enchance its website for adding a blog. The website is built from apache, php and MySQL under Windows XP flatform. Can we integrate XOOPS to the website so that the user just click a link (e.g. http://www.domin.com/blog) to go to the blog page?

Can XOOPS provide an admin page to control all kinds of content for every blogs created? Does the blog supports multimedia files (photos, audio, video) and multilingual?

Can we customize the interface to suit the client's need?

Thanks and regards,
klwong

Hi,

most of the answer to your question is yes, but the best way is to play with XOOPS on a local copy and see if it is wahat you need. You may do that on a XAMPP from sourceforge.net - an Apache, MySQL, PHP.

There are some modules for blogs - popnupblog (http://www.bluemooninc.biz/~xoops2/modules/mydownloads/visit.php?cid=3&lid=35) has multiuser blog support. There was a news arround about other module with multiuser too.
If you install XOOPS in domain.com/blog then your blog will look like domain.com/blog/modules/popnupblog, but you can use modrewrite to shange it.

Popnup supports video. As to control content I'm not shure what you mean.

If you have something like xLanguage or some of the multilanguage hack you will have multilanguage support

For the interface you can make it look as you want - the look of XOOPS is theme and templates based on smarty.
