This module provides a centralized toolkit including input, display, stats and substantial more comprehensive applications, so that each module does not need to develop its own tag handling scripts.

Yeh I can't keep up with the release of modules....Figured tags out now, you can have a look at our growing list as a Demo
It may take a while adding my full site....yet +

Tags, now being specified as [] [,] and...a not [ ,] As i had done.... means changing some... yet now working away adding loads...thanxz!

its sample.php! in root
i dont know why it is a php file?

Thanks for pointing that out, Wizanda. I was wondering what's wrong here and why I couldn't get any tags showing. Turns out it was about my keywords being seperated in the database with a comma and a space --> that's not longer legal it seems.

Now let's produce some tag clouds!

*Edit* Hmm, perhaps it's rather about some strange encoding issue. I thought I could solve the issue with a database query. But no, it seems I have to go through the articles one by one, and from the front end, to get something acceptable written into the database.

No, I didn't. But it confirms my suspicion that it may have been about encoding, data type, or something, rather than about delimiters. I'd been trying to query the db directly from PhPMyAdmin to change to a valid delimiter, to no avail. Then, I changed the keyword entries manually in the editor (to the exact same values I had before produced with my direct db query), and now, it's fine. May have to do with the fact that art_keywords was 'text' in earlier versions, and now it's 'varchar'? In any case, just wanted to share my success story, so other people don't have to start fuzzing about with permissions or what know I if that's not where the problem lies.

I'm currently modifying the wiwimod modules so that it can use Tag, and I wonder if I have found a small bug in Tag.

In tag/include/tagbar.php, line 57, you can see :


if(!$tags = $tag_handler->getByItem($itemid, $modid, $catid)) {

Since the $itemid variable isn't set before, shouldn't it rather be :


if(!$tags = $tag_handler->getByItem($tags, $modid, $catid)) {

?
Doing this correction, everything work now fine for me !

It'll need to be tested a bit more, but we'll propably release this soon :o)

I saw the Tag module news a few day ago, and I was thinking that we should use it instead of doing the same thing internally as we wanted to do before
....and then I saw your post yesterday.

So I was obliged to do it

How do I provide a Plugin for the News module?

I need a guide (a simple guide, step by step) to enable the News module to use Tag.
