After reading several threads in forums explaining how to hack the main menu code to add an item that was simply a link, I decided to create the Main Menu Link module. It provides the ability to create a Main Menu item that is a hyperlink to a defined URL, internal to site or external.
Features:
- Eliminate need to remember main menu hack
- Positioning item in menu works just like any module
- Control permissions as to who can view and access item

There is an error in zip file to download from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/xoops/xoops2-mod_mainmenulink1.zip.
It isn'w well zipped, because there isn't the directory.
Compare wiht author's file. (This is OK)
