Description:

Profile module is a standard distribution with XOOPS, this is version 1.62 which offers a verbose registration method for verbose registration on the basis of codes or data stored in a database.

There are 2 new field types, a JSON basis of Validation and a POST method of validation.

Multifielded and functional as standard profile all you need to do is download it and upgrade

Given that it seems this module is a compulsory yet seperate part of modern Xoops version (2.5.3+), I suspect many of you try to find the more recent version of it, or indeed, it at all.

Having found this link, you'll be pleased to know the several versions released since this one are at http://www.chronolabs.coop/binaries/

I have just downloaded 1.70 from http://bin.chronolabs.coop/xoops2.5_profile_1.70.zip for example.

You are mistaken, 2.5.3 has profile module included(version 1.61).
This version is not official.

Well if you actually did anything that was discussed with me like including 1.70 of profile and xortify in the next release, which was what I was lead to believe was happening, before the major poojab of the xoopsCouncil, that very offical release is also on a very official SVN with the 'official' flag set, so i would say it is offical.
