if you're running an intranet or extranet type site, and need to track time spent on projects for billing your clients, it is useful.
say you have 10 employees, 5 clients, 20 projects. everyone is working on random things remotely. each person can simply log the time they spend on a particular project. Then at the end of a billing cycle (let's say a month), an administrator can run a report of all the time spent on a particular project or by client for billing purposes.
It could be used in any situation where you want to keep track of how much time you're spending on various tasks.
I understand, this isn't useful to a lot of XOOPS sites where you are simply hosting a community around something like anime, but for someone using XOOPS as their intra/extranet site, it's useful...i think.

i.e., allow the editing of existing records, a field that shows the total hours for all catagories or individual ones.
