Posted by: brashOn 2005/11/1 12:47:045496 reads IIS Resources is one of largest Xoops based communities on the Internet that is served from Microsoft's IIS web server software. We have been working on a new site for sometime now, so am very happy to finally have up and running. The new website consists of both customised templates and theme, with the theme having a unique feature of having all the functionality of the search, login and user menu blocks built into the title bar of the website which saves space in the side columns. We would really appreciated it if you would drop by and have a look, and would love to hear any comments/suggestions people might have.
Thanks guys ! Can't believe I forgot the URL , serves me right for posting the story in the wee hours of the morning. Thanks for catching that one pinchecl ...
Re: IIS-Resources Re-Launch
Woa nice site... Could you share some tips on how to set up the main menu rollovers?
Re: IIS-Resources Re-Launch
Very nice site imho ... clean design, very easily readable ... content is quite rich and obviously serves well to your users.
Respect. Keep up the good work.
ad rollover I don't see there any special effect, neither in IE, am I missing something?
But my question is, why did you use background image in rollover in the menu? Was it becaus of those two/three pixels gap on top of it?
Once more, very nice site. Ryspekt.
Re: IIS-Resources Re-Launch
No magic tricks in the main menu, it's pretty much all CSS which you can view in your browser cache files. No real reason for using the background image there either apart from the fact we liked the effect it gives ...
Re: IIS-Resources Re-Launch
G'day Brash. Mind if I ask what ver of XOOPS you are using?
Cheers
Re: IIS-Resources Re-Launch
We're using 2.0.13.x on that site
Re: IIS-Resources Re-Launch
Brillaint Brash! Really professional. I particularly like the way you've added the user menu, login promtp etc into the header. A good use of space and it of course free's up space on the main page.
