News: End of Life for Red Hat 9.0
Posted by: StewdioOn 2004/4/4 10:25:29 6519 readsI'm posting this important news item to let users know that Red Hat Linux 9 distribution will reach its end-of-life for errata maintenance on April 30, 2004. This means that as of May 1, 2004 they will not be producing new security, bugfix, or enhancement updates for this product.
What affect this will have on the XOOPS community at large remains to be seen but it is worth closer investigation if you run enterprise solutions or mission critical sites in combination with XOOPS.
It is recommended that XOOPS users who run and maintain the Red Hat Linux 9.0 distibution look into migrating to the new Enterprise Linux or Fedora Project.
More information about migration choices can be found at:

Good Luck and Happy Xoopsing!
