Custom fields with Profile module 1.63 on xoops 2.5.5

Hi there,
i'm using xoops 2.5.5 with profil module 1.63 installed.

The informations filled, from the admin side and user side, on a custom text field are not recorded.

I have installed 1.62 version and i have no problem with custom fields. Informations are well recorded.

First of all you have to uninstall profile module 1.63 and delete all files from profil module directory then upload 1.62 module version and install it.

On doing this operation i have lost the link to add a custom field but i can perform the operation with the following link "www.yoursite.com/modules/profile/admin/field.php?op=new"


Is Xoops plans a bug fix for profile module 1.63 ?

i forgot to tell you i had the same issue with 2 different xoops installation : 1 fresh 2.5.5 and the other was an upgrade 2.5.4 to 2.5.5.

1- did you turn on the php debug? is there any error?
2- are you sure that you upload all files completely. it seems some files of profile 1.63 are missing

yeah all files were uploaded and as i wrote i got the same issue with 2 xoops website. One fresh 2.5.5 installation and the other was an upgrade from 2.5.4 to 2.5.5.

The informations filled, from the admin side and user side, on a custom text field are not recorded with module profile 1.63.

regarding debug mode i have no error.

it is strange because you said you cant see the modules/profile/admin/field.php?op=new link inside the admin area.
i suggested to upload the whole zip file of profile 1.63 and extract it via cpanel to make sure you didnt lose any file.

i have modules/profile/admin/field.php?op=new link inside the admin area on 1.62 version and 1.63.

i don't have it on 1.62 only after uninstalling 1.63 but this is not really the problem.

The main issue is that on profile module 1.63 :
The informations filled, from the admin side and user side, on a custom text field are not recorded. The custom field remains blank.

i dont have any other solution in my mind.
maybe another one can help you but im pretty sure it is not a profile module bug.
