Cant login on migrated system

I just migrated my xoops to a new host to test upon. All the content and database have been fully copied over. I can not login to the website with any of my accounts? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

check mainfile.php, secure.php if path and db setting is correct

and try clear cache

Re: Cant login on migrated system

The database works since no errors on connecting to the site test.vmoa.net. my cache folder is empty and I dont have a secure.php file in the root. Is there somewhere else it is located? I did have issues with the .htaccess file and renamed it so the site started working. I checked the authentication and its still set to xoops in the database.

Anything else to look at?

Hi Mamba,

Thanks for chiming in. We are at our last straw with our host so testing again. I looked at my secure.php file and its bare nothing configured inside of it. Anything else I can take a look at? Should the xoops_data/cache file be emptied out since its all from the previous site?

Thanks again,

Mike

Re: Cant login on migrated system

Can different verison of PHP and MySQL cause this issue?

old server PHP 5.2, MySQL 5.0.92-log
new server PHP 5.3.10 , MySQL 5.1.61-log

Can the newer versions of both PHP and MySQL be an issue?

depends on your version of xoops and the modules used.

so what steps did you do when you migrated the site over to the new host?

Re: Cant login on migrated system

I copied all the content via FTP and then did an export/import in MySQL. Usually a little tweaking there after.

Running XOOPS 2.5.4.
