using sexy 1.35 and a clean install of xoops 2.5.5

I get 500 internal server error

After the xoops install I installed 2 modules, this one and webcams Version : 1.21

after this error when i try to access any menu, i got a could not connect to the database error and went back to the root display

so obviously this is not a stable release.

any ideas how to fix it?
