How do I find the ip address of spammer if they only register and never become active?

Is there any way through xoops besides if they leave a comment. Thgrough date and time on server won't work for me with a lot of trafic. I have multiple xoops sites on same server with a lot of trafic. An I have someone using name wertuef Alexer Zakolov registering on all sites and not activating. They use several phony e-mails but always same name. If I can get their ip I can ban them from server.

If their is a pattern in the email addresses you can block them in the preferences.
For the IP you have to look it up in the Apache logs! (or eg. in the latest visitors display of cPanel)
Alternate search pattern is 'post' and 'register.php'
It is not that dificult at all!

You should also be able to seriously shorten your list of IP's to look for in the Apache logs by making note of the login time and match them up as best that you can.
