Upgrading To AMS 3.O from 2.41 module not found

So I have tried several times now to upgrade AMS 2.41 to 3.0. Everything seem to upload fine, but when I go to the back-end to upgrade I get this error message "XOOPS2_mod_AMS_3-00-final_Novasmart Not Found." The new 3.0 module does not show up in the admin area, just the note "module cannot be found" between the upgrade and info gifs.

Any clues as to what I am doing wrong would be appreciated. My XOOP version is 2.0.13.2.

Did you use proper alignment of the directories when uploading?
You should align to /modules/ams/xoops_version.php
The XOOPS2_mod_AMS_3-00-final_Novasmart is a container directory and should not be uploaded.

Thanks, that worked.

But now it is showing the date the article was posted, the number of reads and the article number on each article. How do I turn those off? I can't seem to find where

I am not the most technical person so please remember that when you respond.

Probably the template files where edited.
Compare them with the previous version of your backup.
