Hello all im new to XOOPS i just came here from e107 and i must say such a nice CMS gj anyhow ive been uploading files to my site with filezilla and no problems then yesterday i hit a wall.

Everytime i upload a file i gets deleted as soon as i upload .. im not really sure if its the file / server or what .. so i was woundering if any could help me figure whats the problem.

Ill post the filezilla log this was just 1 file

I suppose thaty you haven't permissions to do that?

dont have permission ? ive uploaded files fine before i can create a folder fine but the file in it doesnt upload .. and ive uploaded other XOOPS modules fine before.

Nvm i just found my own answer:
Response: 550-6000 files used (100%) - authorized: 6000 files

Is there any files i can delete in XOOPS i can delete? ones that doesnt get used alot.

I would suggest to change the host.

Sooner or later you'll run into the same issue again. 6000 files is really nothing.

If you want to delete files, I assume, you have deleted already the /install directory.

You can also delete one of the WYSIWYG Editors in
/class/xoopseditor/
e.g. ckeditor or tinymce

But before you do it, check them out and see which one you you like, so you can keep it.

You might also look at the modules and see if you need them all.

The 'number of files' limit is strange. You might send a request to the hosting company to see if they'll increase it since you're no where near your storage quota...

You could delete the ./modules/<module name>/language/xxx files EXCEPT for the languages you plan to use. This may save you some if you've uploaded a large number of modules.

But I have to agree with Mamba, it might be time to find a different hosting company. If you're already this close to the limit you will probably run into problems once your site goes live and XOOPS starts creating cache files...
