Re: Tutorial Part 10 - Building Admin Menus and Jquery

I'm glad you like it. I found Jquery to be so easy and powerful that I made a tutorial out of it :) Plus I've been meaning to do an admin tutorial for quite some time. I still haven't fully understood the Ajax capability working with Xoops. When i do I'll make another tutorial. Which do you people prefer for Ajax; Jquery or Xajax?

Re: Tutorial Part 10 - Building Admin Menus and Jquery

Check out Stanley Steemer's No Obligation Quote This little jewel of code can deliver a complicated quote in real time based on the customer's selections and his zip code (for tax purposes). All the customer has to do is point and click.

I believe this was accomplished using Jquery on ASP--of course, I could be wrong. I would love to be able to do something similar for my brother's carpet cleaning website.

Has anyone completed this tutorial yet? What do you think of the tabs and accordions?

Re: Tutorial Part 10 - Building Admin Menus and Jquery

I wish I could critique this latest tutorial but I'm afraid I am still working on the previous tutorials. I'm just glad you are continuing your effort to educate some of us uninformed XOOPSers with your excellent tutorials. I did find the tutorial itself to be easily understood.
