Art comunity creation with XOOPS - advices needed!!!

Hello folks!!

I am new here, installed yesterday the XOOPS core and some modules.
My site is runed on Coppermine till now, but I whould like to make it more versatile. Artwanted.com like.
Site is only for real arts. Artists should post thier arts for sale. Every artist should have their profile page. All arts should be posted in unique common catalogue, created by admin.
On front page there should be random images from the gallery, most rated, newest ecc. And login field.
So it should be art community/gallery/shop.
Need advice about what modules to install.

ElenaFurse, welcome at the XOOPS forum!

For having support from this site in the future, you better start over your installation with the real XOOPS.
As selling and displaying module, take a look at Oledrion.

I think you are using XOOPS (see footer) but are using a theme associated with a different CMS.

I choosed a theme from one of available here on official site :)
For now testing things so it's installed under XOOPS folder, then will move to root if I will be satisfacted with.
So pleas help me to choose right modules, folks..

I see you have xcgal installed (based on coppermine ) - which version have you installed?

Ghia is right - use the Oledrion module.

You could also take a look at the other modules that Instant Zero offer, including News and Newbbex. I also heartily recommend their xoopscare module to keep your site running sweetly.

What else would you like your site to have?

I thin k you will really like XOOPS once you get it running and more modules installed.
I look at it like building a sim city only real life. Modules like protector, XOOPS care, frameworks, happy linux, web links, news, and other s you should check out. If you want to see some of the possabilities check out the site I am building right now.

These are some of the possabilities and there is lots more to be done to the site. As you work with and learn XOOPS you will find it fasinating. (I know I did at 56 years old)

I need this basic functions:
1. User profiles as portfolio - users can add their arts in one unique catalogue.
2. User should indicate a price for exposed art.
3. Arts should be buyable and.
4. All other stuff is surplus.. and I'll see later.
Oh btw I tryed upload Olderion to site through CoffeCap, there is a permanent error saying "'1.041' is not a valid integer value" in the mime folder. Any idea?
