Can someone tell me how to stop the publication date from appearing. I want to replace it to a direct link (country Flags) to a translated copy of the same articles.

Anyone???

You have to edit the template for that.

Xoops REALLY needs to get into the 22nd century when it comes to multi language support :(

For the languages, there is the xLanguage module and the EMLH hack.

I tried XLanguage but the directions aren't very good and it's difficult to figure out what you have to modify to install it

A quick question about this module...

Is it possible to add HTML code to the title of an article?

I want to have the image of a flag in the title, that links to the same article but in a different language

Yes, you have to edit the template for that (/templates/news_item.html).

no that wont work, each page has a diferent translation.

translations are not done on-the-fly, like in XLanguage. they are properly translated.

I ended up just adding a flag and a link to the top of the text in each article

You could script in the use of the google translator. It's gotten better over the years. However it stills needs some work. At least it would get your general point across with the least amount of work

I know there is no longer support for this module but I wanted to make a suggestion anyway.

I think it would be helpful if the news articles could be weighted, like the modules can be weighted
