I'm totally lost.
I spent several days trying to figure it out, read articles but in the end... I have XOOPS installed but not even 1 page.
I have built sites before, but didn't touch php before.

lets start by this :

I would like to have on my site the ability of users uploading pdf's projects into a database.
and let other users watch the pdf's in that database and to be able to choose a project and pay for it. (don't need downloads option - after payment it will be sent by postal service).

Can it be done ? which module can help me ?
except that...
which module do I need to start add normal content to my page ?
I tried to install pico but then it says :
"install the latest altsys"
What is altsys ?

Please help as I'm really lost...
Still haven't talk about themes... oh boy...

Use some out-of-the-box XOOPS solution or search here. There are many Q/A like yours. Please search before asking.
