What is WF-Channel?

WF-Channel is a module to display Misc pages on your website. This module is not a replacement for a content module, though it could be easily
used as such if required.

WF-Channel can also display a 'Link to US' and 'Refer' pages.

=> version 2.00a RC
================
- Fixed: Removed all known 'english' hardcoded language
- Fixed: No sql file with last package, sorry about that one.
- Fixed: Refer Email, missing database field and count not saved.
- Fixed: Default Page was not updated correctly, could have more than one default page. bad!!
- Fixed: Page Menu link still shown if page was default or selected.
- Fixed: css bug when no pages in database
- Fixed: If no default page selected, WF-Channel will no longer exit with a redirect but show a
no default page.
- Fixed: The amount of Refer emails sent in admin area.
- Added: Block, add a block to show new pages. (will add a wf-channel menu of requested.
- Added: Better more friendly error handling, erros should just not fail for no reason.
- Changed: Removed the 'Create Tab' to a link above the Page listing. (saves Space)
- Changed: Function name wfc_upload to avoid conflicts with WF-Channel clones

Please note: My new support site is not up and running at the moment and I will have to give support via these forums only. I will update in due course.

Good news!

BTW, I can't find a feature list for this version. Could you paste them?

EDIT: Sorry, my mistake, I found them into the "docs" folder.

There are some other modules like this out there, but there is no perfect solution.

· Yours has per-page permission. Great feature.
· Mastop Publish can do subcategories. Very important.
· TinyD is easily clonable, which allows different templates for different sections. Otherwise, it's very simple.
· piCo... I tried to install and failed.

News could be the perfect module for this if it supported manual sorting of categories and articles.

So... while the perfect static content module arrives, you coming with an update of your module is great news for me.

There is a great content module already with a combination in what you want:
try smartsection.

WFchannel is a great module if you need a simple effective in between 'article' module.
It fills at least my needs without the need to install a huge module for just a couple of information articles.

Thanks Catz

Yeah - being simple and easy - thats very much the original definition.

For everything else there was WF-Sections in those days. I would not dare to imagine where that module would be today if it had gotten the love that went into other projects in the last 2 years ...
Sorry, this signature is experiencing technical difficulties. We will return you to the sheduled signature as soon as possible ...

@nachenko; Glad you found the docs, limited I know but serve the purpose. AS shine said their is smartsections to fill that void just for now until something else comes along :)

@Shine: Yup, that is the purpose of WF-Channel, you may never know it is there but it is handy now and then for somethings :)

@Bender: I totally agree with you, it was the most powerful module of it's kind then and who know where it would be today if it had the love. Well, maybe one day we will know :)

Thanks :)

WF-Channel v2 was completely rewritten from scratch and there is only one language 'English' by default.

New Language defines for this module would be more than welcome.
