I am building an article website, I would like my start page/top page, to display half of the article and able to show picture.

I download several module, but this module only show "recent article, top article etc..." not like normal news site.

You can use Article.... As this contains multipages and most features a News system does have and loads more.

You can have a look on our own site for ideas along those lines as also a Wiki/Zine = Wiwimod can also be used as a system as News is only information presented...

So half of a page of Wiwimod is shown on our own front page, yet is just pictures leading to the rest...of where Wiwimod updating its own list is also News.

Article is the most functional system I have seen, with loads of features....
