Im spanish so I have installed the spanish version of XOOPS (2.0.14). The thing is that when I've installed the XOOPS locally in my pc, everything works fine and all the staff is in spanish, but when I've installed XOOPS in the hosting machine (www.onsmart.net) some things are in spanish and some things are in english.

Do you know why??

Could someone explain to me how XOOPS know which lenguage should take??

I can't answer your question but have you asked at the spanish XOOPS site? look at the 'local support' links on the left.
