News 1.44 duplicatable?

hi everybody

the module News 1.44 is duplicatable?

can i install 2 modules News in my site?

You would have to clone it changing references to 'news' to something else within the files, its a bit of work. There is a news module clone called news2 in the repository here, its a clone of news 1.1 I use both news and news2 on my site with no problems.

Hello, i'm trying to clone the news module 1.44
2 times, i read and tried the faq but, i can't install the module, i get this
"Unknown column 'menu' in 'field list'"

It's just edit the xoops_version right?
I have edit the sql-> MySQL to!
Or must i edit something else to...?

As stated in the tutorial you also have to change all sql tables.

* in xoops_version modify the references to the tables:

* seek and replace in all the files the references to the tables.
If you make a total replacement, do it with prefix(' nomdelatable rather ') than the name of the table alone; you would be likely unnecessarily to change values of variables which would bear the same name.
In this case, made research several times: with simple and doubles quotes, with and without space:
replace prefix(' stories ') , prefix("stories") , prefix(' stories') ... by prefix(' stories02 ')
replace prefix(' topics ') , prefix("topics") , prefix(' topics') ... by prefix(' topics02 ')

Also you have to change ALL references within every php and template and language file

In other words: you have to change everything in every file you can think of to create a clone of a (this) module.
PLease read the tutorial more carefully. All has been said within that one.
PS: also read the last given comments within that tuto. It is giving you some more understandable handouts about cloning news 1.44

Okay, I think you have it.
just go to your site at
http://www.badongo.com/file/1213578

It is cloned as *MYNEWS*, read the README.TXT!

I think all should work fine.
upload mynews in the usual secret place and install it as a normall module. You can run it side by side with news.

If you want different templates , that! you should work on it to your feel.

upload a copy on here for a quick access to others, or I can also send one copy
