Where do I go to definitively check which Xoops version I'm running?

My system module says 2.13...the footer of Admin says Powered by 2.0 and I loaded 2.2.3

Go to admin - click on system admin then modules. scroll all the way to the bottom of the list of installed modules and you see something like this:
Powered by XOOPS 2.0.13.2 © 2001-2005 The XOOPS Project



My site says Zoops 2 on the front end but when you look in admin it is more specific. Hope this helps.

I can't help with 2.2.3 - I am sticking with the 2.0.13 version.
Are you sure your 2.2.3 installed properly?

look in the XOOPS root for include/version.php

The version is in there.

I do find this troubling also, In modules administration for example on 2.2.4 the system is version 2.13...... very confusing and I don't understand it at all.


BTW I installed XOOPS info module, It tells all.

Although I don't have an answer or a solution, just my 2 cents.

The module versions have no relationship to the XOOPS version.

The only foolproof way of knowing what version you have is to keep track of which one you downloaded and installed.

That's not always accurate. There have been releases in which that file had the wrong version number.

I agree that include/version.php is usually reliable.
