Hi,
i have problem with email sending.

My web hosting provider blocks mail functions on his server.
Its impossible to send any mail from XOOPS even with SMTPAuth function using external SMTP server. The system shows "SMTP Error: could not connect to SMTP host server(s)"

Im sure my SMTP setting is correct.
Xoops ver: 2.0.13.2

Do u have any idea how i could send mails?

Maybe you should ask your hosting provider instead of here?

Well, host will not be off help there for sure. What you can do though is:

1.send through your host smtp
2.configure a mail server through non standar port like 2525 and send it through it, most likely your provider will not block this port. Can't remember of top of my head does XOOPS ask you for port number under smptauth or assumes it's a port 2525.

Port 2525 was not working as well but i have contacted my provider and he promised his own SMTP soon. So hopefuly ...

What?!!? Host is not providing their smtp server and they are blocking port 25? #OOPS# I'm glad they are not my providers

As to why 2525 is not a solution don't know, but there is no problem if you use some third party or even your own server and forward properly.
